[quote:c4fa9781f7="BC Manager"]Ok, while the playoffs for S.1 are about to start, I thought we should do some prep for season 2.

The first order of business will be determining divisions and confirming everyone's participation.

Based on S.1's standings the divisons in S2 will be as follows:

East
Sean
Mav
Ugly
Sykes

Central
BC
BJS
TRich
Jablowmi

West
BigAlric
Albert
Icemen
Yountfan[/quote:c4fa9781f7]

Ok, playoffs are over. (Congrats again Sykes). Let's get Season 2 started. Will one of the East teams start the league? (Make it a DH, $80 million, and [b:c4fa9781f7]frenzy[/b:c4fa9781f7] league since we have no use for the waiver draft.

That is very weird, the East is the same as our Beer and Peanuts league. Hope that it goes better in this league than that one.

With my win last night, my Finals record in the 80's is now only 4-10. :? To say that I was overdue is an understatement. I hope for a repeat of last year as well as a repeat of Beer and Peanuts. 8)

what's really weird, Ugly, is that you, Mav and Sykes consistently kick my tail when I'm in divisions with you.

None of us are really helping our overall winning percentage, we just keep beating the heck out of each other.

I'm still amazed my team made the playoffs, and the finals ... I had to 18-6 over the last week of the season to get in the playoffs, and they actually showed pretty well in the playoffs. Looking for this to be a fun season too.

If nobody starts the league by tomorrow, I should have time when I get home from the Yankees - Red Sox game at Fenway.

You can say that again.

Did you cut open your bedroom matress and pull the cash you store there out of it or did you do some "extra work" for Tony Soprano?

The only thing I wish was that you were in my division, Sean. The Reaper's need vengeance.

guys, I wish I had money in the mattress ... or a hot babe on the mattress .. wait, I have that, right honey (sorry, my wife walked in  )

the tickets are corporate tickets ... one of the few perks left in corporate America ... "hey, in return for not knowing whether you have a job tomorrow, we'll give you tickets to a game, but only if you take clients that you wouldn't spend time with if they were the last people on earth"

but, I do love my Red Sox, and it is the Yankees !!

Your Reapers definitely need revenge, BJ.... but more than that, they need a pitching staff and some hitting  :P :P

Season 1 reveals

Postby albert2b » Wed May 03, 2006 11:25 am

Man, just took a look at the card reveals from season one. I should've done MUCH better than I did.

From my pitching staff alone, I had Key's best year, Ruthven's best year, Dotson's best year, W. Hernandez's best year, Leach's best year and Vandeberg's best year.

And my hitting included Pasqua's best year, Larkin's best year, G. Bell's best year (sorry, BC) and Bumbry's best year. I also had Dusty Baker's WORST card, but he hit like he had his best card for most of the year.

Granted in a lot of these cases (as with Pasqua and Bell), I acquired the player too late (either via trade or add/drop)...but boy, did I miss the boat on a lot of these guys. In many other cases (with Dotson and even Willie Hernandez), they didn't perform too well early on so I never had the confidence to give them expanded roles until it was too late.

Oh well. I'm hoping for similar luck in season 2.....and better MANAGING :?

BTW, where exactly are we with the filling up of League 2? We in the Central yet?

I had a hunch about Bell, Albert, especially after the trade, but I'm happy to have Rice for future seasons.

I'm guessing people aren't that eager to start Season 2.

I will actually be away over the next 3 days, so if we don't get started today, we may not be ready for next week.
