2006 Auction League -- PRESEASON

cristano - although some of AP's bids were very low, i see no gentleman's rule violation yet. i mean i personally would never raise a 10M by 1, like he did to dontrelle, but the rule was 10% of the bid as a gentleman's bid (hence 10% of 10 is 1, so it works).

I understood that I neeeded a full complement team. I was just confused about when i didn't have to open anymore players or when I was allowed to bid on others already opened.

That was why I kind of drug some of my opens - i didn't want to miss out on someone I was really interested in by already having 6 open.

rule ? :?

His $1 opening bid on Sexon was a pussy ass bid if you ask me - deserving of the $1 bump.

......but I ain't no gentleman in auctions. Every cad for himself !

....and I'll bid you up 0.1 or .5 if I want anytime.

Often times you lose track of your smaller bids and by the time you realize it, you are maxed out of $'s or SPOTS (max 33 bids) and can't overbid on anything or anyone.

WTF is a gentleman's rule ? There's no crying in baseball !

So all my statements should be taken in that context of pure SMACK talk....100%

sorry, i guess it should be gentleman's agreement, not rule. but obviously not all of us are gentlemen.

typical auction rules apply, bid as you may.

fine, i could care less anyway... ill dominate the league regardless... in past auctions, i usually would bump up anyone i thought was underpriced, regardless of if i even wanted them on my team...
as for the sexson 1M, i would never actually play sexson... hes a waste, who would? i was just trying to keep him out of my div, since hes a lefty killer...

ok, i don't like that you have to open[color=red:ab00d52429] SIX[/color:ab00d52429] players a day. Four should be the minimum with 6 as a max. :?

agree with Jeep. I thought the magic number was 4. Please advise.

4 or 6 don't really matter.

It's getting to 25 is the KEY....then you don't have to open any.

I don't see what the big deal is.
