Mark Sweeney and other 2006 disapointments

speaking of shields, he's been pretty mercurial too. love the card, so have him on alot of teams, but he's either been outstanding, or pretty brutal. much like real life, he seems to get ALOT of decisions.

TEJADA! I think translated it means total turd. once arod goes, you almost have to pick him as your ss, actually after jeter too...and ive yet to see him hit well for ANYONE. and at THAT salary! plus he typically leads the league in gidp. atleast on this team its 100m league, and I can bat him NINTH!

meat -I totally agree- have tejada in minute maid and he cant even get his OBP to .300- thats why on all my teams I go for defense- everett, wilson or reyes and then spend the extra $$ elsewhere. Glaus is similar- especially in pitchers parks but at least he hits HRs....

I've only had Tejada on one team but I would take him again based on this performance. Sure he almost never walks and hits into some DP's but other than that I'm happy.

Tejada OK

Postby jdmercha » Sun Apr 30, 2006 6:21 pm

Tejada is doing OK for me. I'd like to see a little more power from him though. Strange thing is that he is a 2R but he's hitting over .400 vs lefties and under .270 vs righties.

'd REALLY be unhappy with the piece of dung tejada, especially since he was the 4th overall pick, if this team wasn't playing so well. it's way EARLY, but his average and production is actually going down...and I didn't think there was any room down there below the mendoza line.

only 24 games in but Randa and Luis Gonzalez poor production at BOB.
Big Unit wiht an 8.50 ERA.

Anyone use Bill Mueller with results? How about Corey Sullivan?

Corey Sullivan hitting around .265 for me A lot of players cards in our league with a .290 average has been miserable. They all have the same hit spots. My Jimmy Rollins hitting .262. Chone Figgins hitting .235. Bill Mueller hitting .180. Bill Hall hitting .200. to name a few. Seems kind of weird to me.

billy mueller, wouldn't exactly say he's tearing it up...atleast he's not injured YET, and playing in rogers, has five homers, but an obp under .300 is beyond unacceptable....
