Royals Stadium

Postby Ducky » Wed May 03, 2006 12:29 pm

From what I can tell, 3 of the 9 teams that would miss moving to Round 2 if the season ended today are playing in Royals Stadium. Coincidence or something more sinister. I think HAL hates Royals stadium.

Mike...I think I remember from the first post that all playoff teams move to round 2 (16 teams), and then an additional 8 teams are selected to move on based on record. Therefore, the way I understood it, a total of 24 of the original 48 teams move on to round 2, and the other 24 teams take the bus home.

Jablowmi...is this correct??

Me too. I thought it was 4 rounds which meant that the bottom four out of each bracket (16 teams) are out of the tourney in each round.

Guys,

Sorry for the confusing post. 3 teams from each league are eliminated in round 1. The reason I mentioned 9 teams instead of 12 is I could only see the standings for 3 of the 4 leagues at the time of my post.

The entire tournament goes from 48 to 36 to 24 to 12, rounds 1 -4.

[quote:b91156b391]All playoff teams will advance automatically to the next round. If the field is 48, 5 additional teams in each bracket - determined by best record (tiebreakers below) - will also advance (giving us a field of 36).

I found it Mike...your right. It does go to 36 in the 2nd round. Cool... :D

HAL may hate Royals, but (knock on wood) he has been very generous to me as of late. I am in Royals right now and am not doing to bad (30-18). As long as I keep up the sacfrices to HAL every Monday between midnight and 6:00 am I think that I will be OK (right HAL my very generous benefactor).
