Know How to Make a Reservation, Don't Know How to Keep One

My semi-annual personal ranting after one of my best teams went down in flames last night. Up 2 games to none, the 96-66 (with heavy rest down the stretch) Jablowmi 35s lose 3 straight to a 88 win team with a great manager, jsamia. The 35s were a Kingdome team that scored 952 runs (2nd overall), but were carried by the pitching staff (4.40/1.34). Starters: Fat Sid (15-5, 4.08/1.21), Sutton (21-8, 3.46/1.17), and Swan (13-8, 4.28/1.27). Pen included great years from Sambito and Brusstar and a decent one from Farr. Gave up only 724 earned runs, 4th overall.

Overall, the Jablowmis have made the playoffs 22 times in 36 completed seasons (20 of past 29), but have only 3 championships and 3 other final appearances - losing in the [u:7bd3ddcb7c]first round [/u:7bd3ddcb7c]16 out of 22 times!

If it makes you feel any better, I've been having the same problem recently. Since my last championship, I've had 17 teams, 10 playoffs, only making it to the Finals once (which I lost).

Just look at my 80's rating and you should feel fine. I have a team to championship ratio of 1 to 22 or so. :oops:

I make reservations but the wife decides she wants to stay home for hot dogs and beans. :wink:

Sykes,Jablowmi,Toisan,you guys are considered as some of the upper tier managers of BTT 80,s baseball.sykes, who can fault some of your expierimental leagues..and all of you consistantly play in league which feature some of the best managers in the 80,s....
you may be having some luck problems but believe me , other managers respect you for they know who they are playing when they go up against you....
