Pena could be had, for the right price. Was pretty surprised to find him on the waiver wire. I can now field a team with 1's at C,1B,SS,3B,RF, and CF, with 2's at 2B and LF.

Well trying to shake things up a bit, I just offered IMB a trade that is extremely complex and earth shattering in its consequences. It could change the whole face of the league if he accepts it. so.....

we'll just have to wait and see.....

Yea, I wish I had seen Pena out there on the wire. If I had, I wouldn't be in this predicament trying to decide between Brenly and Gedman. Brenly's got the +1 arm, but I ultimately stuck with him because Gedman's just got too many stinky cards. In hindsight, I really should've noticed IMB drafting LaValliere, which in effect ended Pena's days as a Breaker. Oh well. You snooze, you lose....especially in this league.

well, it appears that IMB has rejected my wild and wacky offering, so I guess the details will never see the light of day. OH well, maybe someone else will make a major trade.

Letting Pena go was a tough decision, but since he was down to his final year of eligability ( as is Sambito), and LaValliere was ready to carry me through the rest of the decade, I decided to add Dravecky and go with a deeper pitching staff. Even though I haven't been able to win the big one yet, going with a deep pitching staff has kept me in the running most seasons so far.

The party gets started tomorrow. I have to check my roster to see if any of my players bolted for the Mexican league

from Yount Fan:
"You do mean wannabee-World Champion. Don't you Hak?"

Hey YF, Last night was captain Gary Carter's response to your trash talking!

It appears from the game recap that your hardball barb throwing fans take after their owner. Let the rivalry roll on.
