Most Innings by a Relief Pitcher

I was going through my old ATGII teams the other day, and I happened to see a bomber team of mine in a longball league (no pitcher over 1.5 MM). On this team, Tom Morgan (0.86 MM) appeared in 113 games and threw more than 371 innings, more than double what any starter threw (more than triple was some starters threw) and 100 more innings than his closest competitor in the league. (It was also 300 more innings than he threw in real life that year). Another of my relievers, Horacio Pina (who only threw 14% of the innings Morgan threw), won the Cy Young for the league. The amazing thing is that I did not check any of the boxes for setting strategy on his card, so HAL deserves all the credit on this one.

My question to you is, what is the most innings any of your relief pitchers have ever thrown in any season, regardless of the type of league.

Second question, what is most innings any of your pitchers (whether starter or reliever) have thrown in a season?

I see from the record books that in regular leagues, Pete has the record with 367.2 innings. :shock:

In a recently completed Alpha League, Jack Pfiester pitched 356 1/3 innings, which would put him in the top 5 for innings pitched. That's an amazing average of 8 2/3 innings per game. Sadly, he had a record of 19-19 and pitched 12 complete game losses, including a couple of extra-inning losses.

Oh yeah, he was injured in the eighth inning (after two outs) in his last regular season outing, but made it back to start the first game of the semi's, which he won.

That's one tough pitcher.
