Who Wins the AL East?

Postby Coffeeholic » Tue Sep 27, 2005 8:59 am

7 Games left for Boston, 6 for New York who holds a slight 1/2 game lead as of this morning.

In your unbiased  opinion, who will finish in 1st place in the AL East?

Logically, you would have to favor the Sox. I believe they have the best home record and play all seven at home, including the last three against the Yanks. The Yankees are close to .500 on the road. Figuring to absorb at least two losses in the final series leaves them a games behind the Indians for the wild card.

The poll will reflect the general opinion that the Sox have usually lost these races throughout the years and I'm sure the voting pool is polluted with more NY fans than BOS fans. We east-coasters are so self centered we don't even realize that cleveland has a better record, and we have such a narcissistic view that we don't care either!

Doesn't make the results valid, but explains them from a psychobabble point of view.
Good poll!

Especially since I'm a Yankee fan

In the great Chicago tradition, I tried to vote for the Yankees twice, but in the great Yankee tradition, it didn't matter--cause they won :)

And now the question is will the Red Pox have to play the Tribe?

Drats!!! :(

How entertaining would it have been for the Yankees to have missed the playoffs, then to watch Steinbrenner go ballistic and clean house?
