Well, my two teams went 5-1, with my one loss coming in extra innings. So far, so good! :D

Bob Gibson threw an opening day shutout.... so that was what I was hoping and am hoping from him.

Fritz Peterson followed up with a win.

Bull pen blew a 1 run lead in the third when Bench hit a 9th inning 2 run homer.

So.... happy so far.

I swept so my plans to go 162-0 seem to be on track. :D

Well, I got swept, with my "high batting-average hitters, non-* starting pitchers" strategy. The league batting average for opening night was around .220. My guess is pitching will rule and I'm in deep doo-doo.

Good opening night.

.33 ERA after 3 games to lead the league, well, so far.

Gems pitched by F.Peterson and C.Osteen.

So far so good...

Two team theme league. I went 3-0 with a team I expect little from. Phil Neikro threw a three hit shutout. Ron Reed gave up one run on three hits in a complete game and Milt Pappas pitched a solid 7 innings.

Hitting was not good except for Aaron who hit 3 HR's.

All downhill from here.

Had a outstanding opening night going 3-0. And in his first AB my 2B goes down for 15. Of course Hal does the right thing. NOT!! He puts my SS Ted Kubiak at 2B a 3e26(OK I might be able to live w/ that), but putting Tito Fuentes and his 4e56 at SS when I have a 3e10 backup 2B. Thats totally obsurd.

Ugly. 1-5 with some bad offense, bad pitching, and bad defense. But otherwise, Ok.
