LOTO 2006 WARMUP LEAGUE...

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't been around much lately but I have been busy as all get out lately. :roll:

Well, 2 teams and 2 times now that I've done what typically caused the rest of my team to break out the golf clubs and that is...turning to the FA market to tweak the team. This was not such a risk with my Hatemongers, as they were sucking anyways, but it was with my tour team which had a winning record already. Usually I won't fix what ain't broke but I noticed with my tour team, which was an offensive juggernaut already, that my bully was breaking out the gas can and blue tips resulting in losing far too many one run games. So...I did the unthinkable and dumped underperforming J. Giambi AND T. Helton adding J. Rod and T. Hafner so I could use the resulting money to shore up a bully that was constantly giving up early game leads. I don't know what the end result will be with either that team or this one?? If I could only get to the point where I don't have to tweak my teams after opening day!!
I hate taking the cap hit to try to improve a team but sometimes, I think, you just have to shake things up.

Gosh dang it this team annoys me! :x Everytime we get back to .500 we promptly drop right back under .500! UGH!!! :roll:

Rough night for my 06 teams lastnight going 1-5. :( My tour team keeps getting beat by the same last place team whether I play them at my place or on the road. :x

Man! No love for my teams lastnight. :( My tour team gets beaten at home and my FINALLY above .500 Hatemongers are trying to prove that they can still underperform with the best of them. :roll:

Little win streak going and all of a sudden my team starts looking respectable.

Since that unlikely streak earlier. I knew they wouldn't hit as well as the team prior to the trade, but they basically haven't hit at all. Had to make a few changes for the stretch. I am hoping that Vargas will at least be the .500 pitcher RJ was for 1/3 of the money and my hitting will step up a little more. Had to do something. what once looked like a good possibly for the playoffs now has to fight for their life just to make the wildcard. :roll: Ya gotta love this game. R
