Fair enough MM, I usually have Ozzie #2 behind Stan or Cuyler.

I went for Cuyler and Meusel, figuring that would be outstanding corber OF combo in Griffith. While I still think that's true, I'm going back to Ozzie.

It's a matter of perception again, and you may be right, but that would be 2 #1 picks in Cobb and Stan, for 1 #1 in Ernie. A downgrade in my pen, and a 1b I might cut to go with a cheaper option. I've almost used Selkirk a few times, and that's where our perception differs, I'd rather Meusel in Griffith every time by a longshot.

I'm not saying you're wrong, just that I think differently.

And MM, Boyd Kaat, Hugnson, and Tippy....where do you think I got the inspiration for that staff :wink:

Personally I only offer deals that I feel clearly benefit both players and that I would probably accept if I were on the receiving end. Most trade offers that I get don't meet that criteria. Fortunately the overtly one sided offers have declined over the past half year.

It is actually an excellent strategy [b:805cc2bba0]NEVER[/b:805cc2bba0] to accept a trade Nev offers. He generally stockpiles talent at a couple of positions, especially on frenzy's. It's lots of fun to watch 'em squirm as he tries to make deals and then has to drop a top player or two who you can then get for nothing. This is actually a good strategy to neutralize him in a league. With frenzies he tries to grab the best available player first without regard to what he already has on his team. Not trading with such a team makes that strategy a losing one. :lol

As for etiquette,

I believe a reply (accepting or declining) is VERY important. As we all know, sometimes you make an offer and it sits for more than a day. I usually adjust my lineups, strategies a couple times a week, not everyday for each series, don't have that time. So, if there's no notation - ie [b:0194691882](1)[/b:0194691882] - next to "trade/mail center", I think my offer has not been acted upon.

I have, more than once, found out too late to react that a trade was approved. All of a sudden, it's 11 p.m. EST and I realize I have two holes in my batting order... and Aaron and Powell are sitting on their butts while Buckner and Philley are starting, against a divisional rival.

As we know, a simple accept or reject without a reply is just a notation on the right-hand side of the mail page.
