question regarding waiver claims

Postby birdey44593 » Mon May 08, 2006 10:59 am

OK,
I want to make sure I am thinking this through properly. I have waiver claims coming up. When determining if I will have enough salary cap to cover a pickup: is the amount of the player I am dropping added to my present salary cap BEFORE it attempts to pick up the other player?

If so I can make the move on the player I want(I have the #1 spot in waiver claims). If the system subtracts the new player's salary first, THEN adds the amount of the player to be dropped, I will not be able to do it.

Example. present funds available....4.23.....player I want 4.55...player to be dropped.....1.17....If the 1.17 is added first will have sufficeint funds...If new player added before I will not have enough.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You are good to go. In your example, you will have 5.4M at your disposal for the player that costs 4.55M. The drop will happen first when it comes to waivers.

Thanks! I thought that was the way it worked but wanted to be certain. I just may be able to pull this off. WOOT. The wheels are turning, let's hope they don't fall off!
