Sorry guys about the name but I already had a team open for 1969 so I used it.

Any thoughts on the teams with low draft picks getting to add some Free Agents after rosters are set? I may have someone like Jim Bunning who may help a roster. Just a thought. J Law

CATom,

I am curious what park you put the Astro's/Yankees in as well as the rosters you used. From looking at the pair, the mesh nicely together with a solid pitching staff, good obp/speed in the lead off spots and some decent power. Bullpen isn't bad either.

My lineup will have roughly 3 lefty, 3 righty, 3 Swith hitters so Yankee stadium with the power fits nice with the team. Very few of the starters have BP homers, so it doesn't hurt the rotation much to play in the power park.

I am surprised to see they finished below .500 the first time around, but then again Strat has a large dose of luck envolved each season.

[quote:368e5786a7="CATom"]gee, i get fulton county or sicks stadiums - right? ((this was one of the easiests picks i ever made)

[/quote:368e5786a7]

CATom did you take Fulton County Stadium? I took Crosley Field. I wonder if Ado Jake took Metropolitan Stadium?

We could really have some launching pads for the sluggers in this division!

I really liked the Yankees/Astros combo too. I must admit that I was a little scared off of them after seeing that they had a loosing record in the last league but I like them on paper at least! Maybe I am a little biased since I won the bottom 12 league with the Yankees! Anytime you start your rotation with Dierker, Fritz Peterson & Stottlemyre you have got something. This lineup with Wynn, Fernandez, White, Morgan, etc is a walk machine.

CHECK OUT THE THREAD FOR ALIGNED FRANCHISES 3

Postby rschwartz51 » Mon May 08, 2006 3:38 pm

In order to give managers in both versions 1&2 I set up a separate thread hoping to allow those managers at the bottom to get their chances at the top combos.

So far 4 have signed up but since I haven't seen any rejections I want to be sure that everyone is seeing the ad.
