The Best Non-Asterick Pitchers

After the obvious, Feller, Hillman, Sturdivant and Boddicker are great values in a pitchers park. Dobson and Milliken are also decent.

In a hitters park I believe you can get a better staff than 3 day guys, Gibson, Gullickson, Works, Hutch, Chalmers and Turner are ideas.

Bill James named Hal Lanier the worst-hitting shortstop of all time who managed to get into at least 1,000 games, so maybe it would be good to convert one his SOM cards into a pitcher's card. Very little offense, and none of them there annoying error chances on it....

I think you may have been referring to Max Lanier...

I have arranged for a Hal Lanier card to be used as the mystery card for this current edition of the Borgs. It will be substituted for your scheduled hitter in rbi situations for your team throughout the season. You can thank me later.

If you are looking for value you should stick to 4* pitchers. 5 day pitchers are best used for matchups where you can schedule your pitchers against your opponents weakness. To do this effectively it is best to mix 4 and 5 day starters.

My favorite rotation of all times was in a 100 million league:
Alexander, 3Finger, Adams, Lanier, Hiller, Speer,Rommel.

All 7 got starts throughout the year
