Grant replied, [quote:858197ee40]No terms except unconditional and immediate surrender can be accepted. I propose to move immediately upon your works.[/quote:858197ee40]

And Wallace's other book, which he began writing in 1847 as a Lt. in Mexico was, "The Fair God, the Last of the Tzins"

That is correct----Ulysses S. Grant from that moment on became known as "Unconditional Surrender" Grant.

Roger B. Taney of Maryland (I'm a lawyer, so that was a softball question for me)

I know. I am famous (infamous) for being both a baseball geek and a civil war geek. I grew up a few miles from the Manassas Battlefield, and had a love for the Civil War since my earliest childhood (as my kids would say, I know so much about the Civil War because I was probably born then!)

Mark---Go to the confederate draft list---Also note Derrek Lee is not avail for drafting by the Rebs--He is on the Yankees list of teams so you'll need to select someone on the list of Reb Teams.

Derek Lee?????? I knew there was trouble happening early on in the Confederate Camp. Derek is true Blue and wouldn't consider going Gray at any price. Mark tried his best.......but Derek will stay here in the North.
