Qk's Wheeler-Dealer League #5

Well, getting them healthy is a big part of it! I just had a bad swing with a few key injuries to drop me out of 1st. Santana has been awful, just horrible for the most part - too bad I can't trade him!

My squad really looked good last night in sweeping the potent Smugglers, by far the best record in the league. Equally impressive was outscoring them 20-5. :)

Also, that tightened up the Central, as we have a 3-way tie for 1st now.

You're right Cubit, the Central is wild. As you mentioned, One game (Uno) separates 1st to 4th.

One little losing streak could doom any of us.

I swept a series on the road last night. If I start to play better away from the friendly confines, look out.

A little distance now from the 3rd & 4th place teams, but the Professor is still nipping at my heels.

Other than perhaps Jamie's squad well in the lead & Bunbury's squad unfortunately trailling well in the rear, nthis looks like a pretty tight league - halfway into the season.

Should have known it was coming...Tony Clark, who leads the league in everything, gets hit with a 15-gamer :(

This will hurt, let's see if I can stay afloat during his absence.

Besides Clark who is in the midst of a 15 gamer, I have [b:a3b1c354b7]BOTH[/b:a3b1c354b7] Cabrera and Neifi out tonight, which means an OF will be playing 2B for me tonight in all 3 games of a crucial series vs. Cubit. Please Cubit, hit balls [i:a3b1c354b7]in the air [/i:a3b1c354b7]tonight.

I had been hoping to take 2 of 3 from Cubit, as I know I need to keep winning series at home considering my poor road record. So a sweep is definitely most welcome.

Got a tough series tonight vs one of the best squads in the league. Just glad it is at my park, as Jeeps team plays just as tough, if not tougher at home than my team.

Well I was fortunate enough to take the series at your place Arryl. We each win fairly decisively, then a nip and tuck affair in Game 3. I was led by the biggest surprise on my team, Mike Hampton, who ups his record to a gaudy 11-4. My ultra cheapo starting staff with no extra starters for match-ups has been a boon. No not amongst the league leaders, but enough to give me the league's second best record. :D
