 can't believe it, the one and only Q I had the slightest awareness of and I've forgotten, I remeber something about it, there were to mills that merged and formed the largest foundry and I remember it was something like Trecher or Tredger or trender or something like that...now you wait and see, the answer will sound nothing like that.

LOL! Oops sorry Cummings!

What infamous Union General can be attributed to this quote:

"that hereafter when any female shall by word, gesture or movement, insult or show contempt for any officer or soldier of the United States, she shall be regarded and held liable to be treated as a woman of the town plying her avocation."

hint: his nickname was "Beast"

Any of you boys figured out that I have waaaaaaaay too much time on my hands?

Threw my back out at work on Saturday and I'm pretty much confined to sitting on my arse and icing/applying heat to my back for the next few days.

No problem there, I've got a whole treasure trove of them.

After the Battle of Chattanooga ended with a stunning Union victory, the second national cemetary was designated (the first was at Murfreesboro, Tenn.). Upon being asked to decide whether to arrange the burial plots by the states of the units' deceased, which Union officer answered, "No, mix 'em up. I've had enough of state's rights?"
