One Manager needed// Confederate

Hey all we need one more manager from the south to make this league go..Rules have changed a little from the first post--We are now doing only one league with some new ideas.....Just one more and we'll get it rolling :D All are welcome----If you're a history buff you will like this league...Lots of trivia already and some pretty sharp guys if I say so myself..Even those dang Yankees...

Hey Kconners-------Actually this league has filled.. But you can just signup by going to get new team for whatever year you want in and go from there. It has nothing to do with your PC game. Just get a new team for 24.95 and it'll take you through naming your team-Salary cap-setting your draft list--picking your ballpark and then if you are not joining a private league just hit join auto league and you are in..It will usually take a day or two to fill your league and once it is full you'll be able to see all the players you got in the draft and can set your waiver claims accordingly..Be prepared to become addicted :shock: Hope that helps and will be glad to answer any more questions you may have. I'm not sure about the PC version, I don't have it..I am a longtime Strat board game nut..The best thing I could probably tell you is go to the main strat online page and put your cursor on the subtopics there and it'll explain alot to you...

As far as the draft and games etc.....Once you have bought your team and named it---You will have to fill out a draft list of 25 players you want. 10 pitchers and 15 players (11 and 14 in the 06' game). After you finish your llist follow the promps and they will put you in a league. Once your league fills, the draft will be done that nite by the computer and around 1am you'll be able to see who you got on your list..At that point you will have to place waiver claim to replace the guys you lost--The whole time staying under your salary cap..


As far as the games go---You will be required to set your lineups vs Left and RH pitchers and your games will be played by the computer--3 games each night...It will take about 2 months to complete the season..You will be able to set your pitchibng rotations and how aggressive you want to be at running bases etc,, there are several settings you will wade through to set all your manager strategies.

My suggestion to you is to go to the main site Strat-o- matic and since you have not played before you will be allowed to do a 21 game free trial and then you will have a better understanding of it all.....It has been a long timne since I done the trial but I know there is an option for it if you are a new player.

You might want to post a new message and ask the guys "How do I get the 21 game free trial" on this thread.. The guys here are great and they will help you anyway they can...Hope this answers some of your questions and doesn't confuse you more :shock: Larry
