Lastly, in my humble opinion, good lead-off hitters have 45+ non-ballpark reaches on their cards despite whatever speed they might possess. In that regard, Figgins CLEARLY does not qualify.

I will take the extra OBP over the * stealing anyday of the week.

Understood Ineluki, BUT you must admit to almost adopting an autonomous robotic response to some of these offers that did not necessarily equate!

And btw Stoney, the Supplemental Draft ended up being the compromise to restricting in season FA moves.

No problem with not allowing transactions, but as for that post dug up from 15 months ago, I have no memory of it. What I do remember is that multiple moves were made after the FA draft and before the season started.

Its basically a matter of a cut-off date for an offical 40 man roster. You can either make it immediately after the FA draft, or when the season actually starts. Now that its officially immediately after the draft, we know for certain.

Avg - .316
Slg - .541
OBP - .372
OPS - .913

For a 25 year old, them's pretty good 2006 stats for Tracy...

Sandy, once again, no offense, but it's my team and I know what it is that I want for my team. It is clearly my perrogative to decline all offers out of hand that do not meet the criteria I am looking for. Period.

Sandy, that's what I was thinking and it makes perfect sense.

Hawk, don't give up on me yet. I know we can work something out.

Delgado? Do you want a lefty power hitter in Wrigley?

All fairs Ineluki :D

[/quote:fd6f088e71]We did Mike but for a different set of reasons. At the time we hadn't yet agreed on the second season OR a the supplementald draft compromise that went along with that.

Now that those are in place the pre-season FA moves have become passe` and our 40 man rosters are intact.

Ineluki- doesn't mean all that much to me if you like Figgins or not. However, you posted on here that you didn't want any offers that didn't include a lead-off type hitter with 40+ non-ballpark OB versus righties, after I had made you an offer that included a lead-off type hitter with 40+ non-ballpark OB versus righties. Just seemed a little odd.

Absoultely!!!

BUT, (and this goes for trade offfers too imo), IF you publish your remarks in an open this forum then I believe you willingingly subject yourself to the opinions, razzing and good-natured analysis that accompanies it.

I can't make a comment on a PM because I don't see it, but if you are going to make offers (or offer comments as to why you turn down offers in here) then I think they're fair game to be picked apart.

I would exoect NO less that the same for me and I was actually hoping to elicit productive banter.

To me, that's what's fun. Maybe I am wrong.

It was I that didn't meant to offend.
