Playoff rotation

Playoff rotation

Postby GREGDALY » Thu May 11, 2006 7:44 am

OK, here's the deal - I've got the big 3 on my team (Pete, 3FB, Camnitz) and starting the finals tonight. Pete won game 5 of semis so he's not available until game 3 of finals.

I'm wondering... am I actually better off with Pete going game 3 - because it allows him to start a game 7, if necessary, and also allows me to use him out of the pen in all the games, if needed?

I mean, even a dog tired Pete is better than 99% of the P's in this game, right? Is that possible or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

Just bench him. He's probably really tired after all those games he pitched during the season.

I dont know who the 4th starter is , but you have to go with 3FB and Howie to start . Pete is Pete ! Wherever you put him he's generally very good .

It's a no brainer, Each of the big guys get 2 starts. #4 guy gets game 4.

Thanks guys, I wasn't actually asking for the rotation (sorry, should have been more specific)

If I have 3FB and Howie go game 1-2 (away at Fenway 67) and Pete goes game 3 at home in Astrodome (4th SP is McNally - who'll P at home, thank God)

I'm wondering... If Pete is going to start 3, is he available to relieve games 1-2 as well as 4-6 AND start game 7?

HAL will not bring in a pitcher 7 games in a row. I would not even think to try and manipulate it to happen, either, due to fatigue.
