Other teams in division are Griffith type. How will I do?

IMHO when I play in Y56 I like to make other teams adjust to me rather than vice versa. I think you need to get more power in the lineup.

I agree with whoopycat. Let the others adjust to you - you'll dominate at home and probably hold your own on the road. I would add some power by upgrading Oliva or Cash. Selkirk is usually available. Boog Powell usually is too. They both rock in Y56. You can save a few buck on starting pitching by replacing Leifeld with one of the many servicable lefties in the $3-5mm range....IMO.

You can make your OBP guys (Keller, Pesky, Oliva) be right-handed hitters because Yankee '56 is pretty even on singles. So you can carry a couple guys like Furillo, Dawson, Stephenson or RH table setters to keep your opponents pitching a little honest without sacrificing any ability to score runs.

I like May and Cash in Yankee '56, but only one of them at a time.

If it was my bunch, I'd want at least one more LH thumper to go with Mathews and Ott. Powell, Dickey, R. Jackson would be among the candidates.

Unless you are in an all hitters divsion, you can get by will less in the bullpen. I wouldn't cut much out of the starters, but that's just my style.

Have some fun with it. Yankee '56 is an enjoyable park.

This team was in a division with a Forbes and two Dodger 65's.

I agree with the earlier post that you do need more LH pop in your lineup, but also the avg to help out in the small ball park (Snider, Ripper)
