Another Wahoo theme team: Hands of Stone

I like the concept, but if you want real Hands of Stone, use players out of position, such as where you get a shortstop with a 4e88. That would guarantee that you would at least lead the league in errors and unearned runs!

I am trying to be at least somewhat competitive within the limits if the theme. It would have been too easy to get guys with huge error ratings out of position, and less interesting, I felt, than the players that were doing their best, at their natural position. Actually, the one I thought longest and hardest about was Joe Sewell. He really was a short stop, but I really wanted to use Honus, and obviously I am more competitive with him and Fletcher during his inevitable injuries, than with Sewell. So I did not use the guys with the MOST errors, necessarily, nor did I just go for bad fielders. I went for a lot of 1's, you will note. But they still play more than the average number of balls off their heads.

Van Zandt's guitar solo on that record was really awesome.
I realize this has nothing to do with baseball.

He is a terrible fielder, of course, and certainly a worthy addition to any team celebrating bad fielding, but the team is not intended to be just a bad fielding team. Meusel is an example of a good fielder that just happens to boot the ball a lot, and the type of player I was going for on this team.

muttdoc-

Enjoyed your Beatles theme. It took me a while to figure out how some of the guys qualified.

You should have tried to get Alexander in honor of Pete Best.
