Two things I see

I don't like using a top notch starter, like Santana, in Coors. All pitchers in Coors will get hammered. Santana and his 9mil will be on the bench a little too often for me.

I haven't seen Vinny Castilla perform well at all.

I'd downgrade Santana and upgrade Roberts, and try to replace Castilla.

All of your pitchers have BP Hr's (the # symbol), some as many as 4 per side. This is NOT a good thing in Coors, as those will all most likely be Hr's.

There are still quite a few good pitchers out there, but not a lot, and they are all 5 day guys, not 4.

Also replace Castilla with A Ram. He is a much better hitter.

When in a slugger's park like Coors, I'd look at ERA/WHIP differential instead of relying as heavily on WHIP. Someone like Papelbon scared people off with his 1.47 WHIP, but his BPHR lines are on the outer two lines (2-3 and 11-12) and only two of those each side. His only natural HR is a 1-9 on 5 line, which in Coors is better than having an extra BPHR. Most of his WHIP against LHP is walks, which are sure preferable to HRs. He doesn't have many IPs, but in a five-man rotation I don't consider that important -- unless you'tr worried about injuries. The odss are small, but keep a pitcher rated for SP/RP on hand as part of your relief corps just in case.

Other medium-priced pitchers I'd consider are Washburn, Small (no HRs on his card at all), Loe, Lackey and Rogers. For what they cost, compared to Santana's price, you'll get much more value -- and use the extra $$ for bolstering your line-up or bullpen.

I`t wont be wise to keep a card like Santana, knowing that i`m gone to pley 82 games in the road and most of the other teams in the leage have, poor battin ball parks. And in my divson 1 team have shea std, in wich i tinck have an lhp will help, the other team have petco, nice for a man la santana and the other team plays in is playing in pnc. And i thinck i have a decent line up, just the lf roberts and it is bating realy good in other league i am.

This are just rooky thougs.....

I played in alot of sluggers bp's and Hidalgo is one of the best for the $$$.
Swap Lee for him. You can find alot of cheap power hitters that will thrive at coors. What you need to do is load up your bullpen don't worry about obp and you will have the best home record in the league. trade santana for someone like jaret wright or k-rod, juan rincon is good too. good luck.
OH YEAH lose dave roberts.
so: get hidalgo, lose roberts, lee
trade santana, and stock your bull pen.

Which brings us to my latest theory: this game is primariliy about HRs. Hitting them with men on (the Earl Waever approch to winning), and not giving as many up.

As others have posted, it is not very easy to string together hits, especially in Petco for example. There is theory that high OB or BA will thrive in these parks, but you still need players who can drive the baseball.

This team will put the theory to a good test. I'm in Oakland, with 2 Safeco's and an Ameriquest. No Coors teams in this league (obviously a miracle of biblical proportions):

This team is all walks, HRs, and bullpen.

hasn't that theory been around? i've seen numerous mentions of the "beane" count. your hr + walks - their hr + walks if postive you should win, if neg lose.
