[quote:4344e7f95b]Perhaps that swift inner division trade for Pedro G had something to do with it

I think that quickie needs to be reviewed again [/quote:4344e7f95b]

The C.O. just reviewed it...it's OK. :D

Just got swept by Billings Ballers Black Sheep...YIKES...how did that happen? Went from 2 games behind Semper to 5 games overnight!!

Semper...your boys may have dipped a bit, but I think that's just the twisted HAL messing with you in an attempt to make it exciting...

Slow Starters

Postby Billings Ballers » Wed May 03, 2006 7:33 am

Hey the Sheep were just slow starters, 13-2 over the last 15 games, of course lost 8 in a row before that. Somebody has to play spoiler

Griz

Jimmy,

Dipped, ducked, dodged, and dived is more like it.

Of course, I believe you are right about HAL and screwing with the last few series. I sense TSN has a different version of HAL's logic than my CD-ROM.

What a season

Jimmy drives the draft right after the TSN server upgrade :( and we close out the season with 4 or 5 teams still in the hunt.

I'm surprised my choice of Clemens and Orel survived the season given HAL's desires to screw with you. Otherwise, I felt I had the better Greenwald card but he never did hit anything. I can't believe I pulled his worse year given the number of intentional walks issued to him.

Despite my adds / drops looking for a catcher, I never could find anyone to play blackstop. I thought Martinez would do it for me but I always felt a big sucking chest wound with my weak hitting combination of Martinez and Bowa.

Perhaps the third injury to Bowa smoked out a serviceable Uribe card.

To that end, had fun and wish we had more smack going on in the forum.

And then HAL left two

Series final goes between Jimmy and my upstart Marines.

Shall be fun to see if my crazy Leathernecks can put off playing like drunken sailors on liberty and take their small ball ways to Jimmy's big park.

Hey Semper...

I sent a few cases of champagne to your team. I'm hoping that they busted into it already. :D

Good luck buddy.

Jimmy,

Why do I smell Pedro all over this series?

We'll see if my two top SP picks can make the investment pay. Otherwise, McRae's card is a huge find for me down the last few series.

Why do I see that I had one of Greenwell's better cards but wrong set of dice?

I think Pedro forgot to bring his bat on the road trip to your stadium. I'm hoping they are still waiting for him in the dugout for the next 3 games at home.

Your Leathernecks dominated my Fightin Seabees all season. I'm just hoping my strategy of letting them run the bases so much on my team has tired them out for the series. :D

HAL must have felt sorry for your team last night. I can't recall a series where more than two of my starters were bitch slapped like that -

I feel like I was coaching the '69 Amazin Mets. Heavy underdogs going into the series against a better team. Proceeded to lose the first game of the series and then came back to win 4 straight.

Just more proof that HAL loves the wild-card team. :D

Nice season men. Company dismissed.
