Ok I know everyone has a hard on for Carter, but I like the O'Neil man for Forbes and I got lucky and he was avilable.

Diamond dope(in Forbes) has Carter as a (l/r) 368/316 OBP; 761/458 slg; O'Neil is a 459/494 OBP; 522/529 slg- (these are neutral numbers for Forbes, not counting the pitchers faced- I think)

this is why I prefer O'Neil. He seems like the better bat and there D is comparable. Carter has the advntge on injuries.
If I'm crazy about this let me know(no cheap shots P); please explain why so I can get it thru my thick head.

I face Stick, Shibe and Dunn.

Gura is hot for Dunn and I figure that will be my biggest headache, so I like him better than Ford
How's my team now.

Run production. In my experience, O'Neill will hit .280, but he simply won't give you many ribbies or runs scored. Carter may very well hit .230 in Forbes, but he's still going to give you 25-30 homers and 85-100 rbis. He has the best run production among the catchers, hands down. He'll kill every lefty you see, give you protection away from home. Plus you get the arm and the injury advantage.

He is sooooo sloooow. Like Molasses in winter time. He is Irish though.

Good reasons for Carter; I fully feel the shame of letting him go.

I believe you're going to fall short on run production; you need an RBI producer or 2. F. Alou & McCormick are FA possibilities.
I'd also prefer Wagner over Ozzie, but that's me.

Alou, McCormick, and Wagner? That is 33% of my favorite type of Forbes team. Throw in Jackie Robinson, Meusel, Carter, Collins/Gehringer, and Dom D and I will be looking at my next playoff team.
