Being offered a trade that includes Cobb. Is it a good idea to do it.
I am in Dodger Stadium 77.
1. Cobb, Weiss, Bahnsen for Leibold, Banks, Dreisewerd.

2 Ott for Cobb

Any thoughts! Thanks

I have one rule of thumb....NEVER TRADE COBB!!

Ott is certainly no upgrade, and although Banks is a good player he is no Cobb....

Mel Ott rules. Give me Cobb and you'll see.

Cobb's #'s on my last team

AB R D HR RBI BB SB BA SLG OBP
Cobb, T. 692 156 51 20 90 67 73 .413 .606 .464

Can't argue with those numbers I would never trade Cobb

Cobb and Banks are pretty close. A lot depends on the other parks in your division and, obviously, the rest of your lineup. Both can post monster numbers on a regular basis.

Do not ever trade Cobb for Ott, unless maybe you're in a hitters park in a division full of hitters parks.

Banks can be the better value, seeing as how a $3M RF is going to definitely hit better than a $3M SS. It's all about who you're replacing in your lineup.

In other words, give me Banks and Joe Jackson over Cobb and Cal Ripken.

No way!

But you can do better than Weiss at SS IMO...
