If you look at career normalized ERA adjusted for season and park effects, Pedro is more than 1 entire standard deviation better than any other pitcher who has ever played the game. And you can look it up...(Palmer & Gillette 2005 pp.1651). So maybe, just maybe, he deserves a spot on the all Latin team. Hell, he even wins for the Mets. He also has the best lifetime winning pct. of any pitcher ever. And if you compare adjusted ERA by era, Pedro is more than 2 S.D.s better than Koufax who was the best of the 60's in this category.
The pre-deflated I-Rod might be the best catcher ever. Although it is hard to factor in the role of 'roids. A-Rod, hands down, should be the best SS ever, Latino or not. He keeps up his career trajectory he'll be the best player ever too. He is so much better defensively than Jeter. The Yankees should lose every year for making him a 3rd basemen.
