Triple Crowns

Triple Crowns

Not sure how common Triple Crowns are, just finished a season where the Mick won one, first time for one of my teams, that I recall at least.

Yes, it was an alphabet theme league (I had the Ms), playing at Muni, but still pretty amazing year for Mantle:

BA - .371
OBP - .488 #1
SLG - .797 #1
HR - 70
RBIs - 181
BBs - 134 #3
Runs - 168 #1
Total Bases - 462 #1

Yes, I got my $15M worth here ... :)

How often do you see one? Post your Triple Crown years!

Willie Mays goes bonkers in Baker Bowl:

Mays led the league in the following:

BA
hits
doubles
rbi's
home runs
runs scored
slugging
runs created /27 outs
total average
total bases
avg. versus lefties
home runs versus righties

I had Pete win the pitching triple crown. Probably more common than the hitting triple crown. He led the league in

Wins - 27
ERA - 1.98
Strikeouts - 247
IP - 331.1
TBF - 1290
Games started - 41 (tie)
Complete games - 18
Shutouts - 7
Hits / 9 Inns - 6.11
HRs / 9 Inns - 0.57
OPPONENT BAT AVG - .188
LEFT OPP BAT AVG - .195
RIGHT OPP BAT AVG - .181
STRIKEOUTS/WALKS - 3.86

He's awesome!!! In my opinion, the best player $$$ can buy.
