I have been lucky since replacing 6 pitchers, 2/3rds of my outfield and DH, I actually think my team is better now than it was before, I may even be able to take that coveted #8 position.

I am looking a bit for a leadoff guy, if anyone has any trade suggestions I am willing to listen...

Don't you mean the lucky number 9 position since 9 teams out each four leagues make it to the next round?

Well, Bobby O didn't do the trick.. Gonna try my luck on Blue.. have always had luck with him.

in other news, the Dirty D is gettin' NO LOVE in the awards voting, despite being second in the league in runs scored, and 5th in pitching.... Not an all-star in the bunch.. its just makin my players more hungry.. they've got somethin to prove

It looks like the Ankle Biters (MRMS 1970) and the Bay State Yankee Clippers (IM Bacchus) are the "Class Acts" of Bracket #2. My Stratzillas are playing the role of "the pesky second place team that just won't go away".

The name Dormont Tea Swingers is directly related to my upbringing. I grew up in Dormont, PA a kind of white trashy suburb of pittsburgh. when we would go anywhere they would sell this tea in milk cartons made by Fikes dairy. we would buy literally a half gallon a day a person while we were out. To transport this beverage you would hang the carton off of one of your fingers as you walked along. (nobody had a car, we would occasionally ride a bike but constantly lived in fear of it getting swiped) we called this phenomenon "swinging" your tea. dont know why exactly - but it fit so we used it. Needless to say once I went to College my friends found this humorous beyond beleif - since then every roto team has had the moniker.

As far as competing, I have now set my sights on the playoffs. after a 4-11 start I have gone 41-31 GO DUSTY GO...

I know that this wont continue forever(and i've probably cursed him now), but 10HR in 47 at bats.. All i can say is DAMN.. 70% of his hits have been HRs...I'm sure playing in Anaheim helps a bit.

I'm getting pumped up for tonight's matchup against Central Division rivals, the Tea Swingers.

What a wild division the Central is!
