Shifting Sands theme league?

Shifting Sands theme league?

Postby geekor » Mon May 15, 2006 9:10 pm

Anyone wanna start one of these again?

Basically each person when they join they choose 1 part of the theme. It can be anything that doesn't a) wipe out a previous rule and b) make it impossible for people to draft.

be creative, something like 1 and only 1 yankee per team, or 10 round live draft, or 100 mil, or even must use 3's or higher up the middle

anyone game? i'll choose a rule after it is half full:

Well, let's see...

Don't want to make it so that it scares people from signing up...don't want to make it dull...

Three come to mind:

1. The "Santana" Rule: No player (pitcher or position) with a salary of 8.58 or higher is allowed (Sanata and Haffner being the top priced avail.)

2. The "oh yes you doo" rule: MUST have 1 pitcher from colorado and 1 hitter from KC in the roster at all times

or

3. The "go west" (village people or pet shot boys) rule:
MUST have a combined 3 players from western division team (AL & NL)

So, I'll start a poll and get back to you with the first one to get to 100 votes

Naah, I'm kidding obviously...let's see don't want to limit the pool right off the bat so I'll go with

# 3! "Go West...life is peaceful there, gooo weeeeest in the open air gooo weeeeest where the skies are blue....Gooo Weeeeest!!!..."

(Sorry, got a bit carried away there doin' the macarena whilst singing and typing
 )

Well...maybe it's me (I promise I [i:6a291d6ac6]do[/i:6a291d6ac6] shower...maybe  )

But it looks as if it's too early in the set for a shifting theme.

I'm in but it's starting to look gloomy...Sooooo, c'mon guys, you can have your pick of anything, Strat-o the way YOU like it 8)
