Here's the ballot for Latino All Time Team . I think 3rd base is weak but can't think of anyone else either . I'm sure the ATGII community can . Who would you vote for also ?

Tony Perez played more games at 3B than E Martinez. I would have liked to put Perez at 3B and have a DH position for Edgar.

Other than that pretty good choices. Like all these polls, the current players will dominate.

I voted-

1B- Pujols
2b- Alomar
ss- ARod
3B Edgar
C- I Rod
OF- Oliva Clemente and Ramirez

P- Pedro, Marichal, Tiant

What about Sammy?

C - Ivan
1B - Pujols or Cepeda
2B - Alomar - yuk
3B - Edgar - a real gentleman
SS - A-Rod
OF - Clemente - one of the best all time
OF - Oliva
OF - Sammy - overshadowed by McGwire and Bonds

P - Marichal, Hernandez, Fernando & others

Wait a minute guys-- You can debate a lot of these picks. But leaving Pedro off as a pitcher is just insane. He's not only by far the best latin pitcher of all time, he's one of the best pitchers of all time.

That's the one pick that should be unanimous.

And just so i don't get accused of RedSox homer-ism- the other one that should be close to unanimous is Rivera.

But you get to choose 3 SP's. There's just no argument anyone can make that places Pedro 4th here.

If you look at career normalized ERA adjusted for season and park effects, Pedro is more than 1 entire standard deviation better than any other pitcher who has ever played the game. And you can look it up...(Palmer & Gillette 2005 pp.1651). So maybe, just maybe, he deserves a spot on the all Latin team. Hell, he even wins for the Mets. He also has the best lifetime winning pct. of any pitcher ever. And if you compare adjusted ERA by era, Pedro is more than 2 S.D.s better than Koufax who was the best of the 60's in this category.

The pre-deflated I-Rod might be the best catcher ever. Although it is hard to factor in the role of 'roids. A-Rod, hands down, should be the best SS ever, Latino or not. He keeps up his career trajectory he'll be the best player ever too. He is so much better defensively than Jeter. The Yankees should lose every year for making him a 3rd basemen.
