After consideration, I've chosen to alter a rule due to the change from ATG2 to 1969.

Rather than the team with the lowest record getting 3 FA in a row follwed by the next team, etc we will use the following order:

1-12 1st rd
1- 8 2nd rd
1-4 3rd rd

1= team with lowest record.

I'm in no matter what, but I like the idea of waiting two weeks before having FA pickups.

1) In talks with 3 managers ( including myself) who played this Theme in ATG2 we all agreed that due to limited number of players in 1969 the impact to the first 4 teams getting the top 12 FA would be so great as to shift the advantage to the teams with the worse records.

We agreed that by keeping the advantage in the number of players the teams wth the worse records get but adding a straight draft the balance would be maintained.

I believe this change is necessary and will be maintained pending other arguements that add substance.

2) The change to beginning the draft of FA 2 weeks is negotiable. If it was thought that 1 week was better I would go along.

3) To help balance the change brought upon by #1 I had mentioned earlier in the thread that after the initial draft of franchises we could have a 1 round draft in reverse order of salary cap.

I totally agree with #1, I really like the suspense of picking the FA's on sat. It would be good to start the FA pickup's the first week. that's half the fun of this game. I also think it keeps it more balanced. I really like the reverse draft!

I think we should start with the end of the 1st week (to allow the worst teams to catch up with the best teams) and do;

12-11-10-9

8-7-6-5-9-10-11-12

4-3-2-1-12-11-10-9-5-6-7-8
that way it spreads out the talent a little, but still gives the bottom four the best picks - 3 - 2 - 1.
