My first pick was a 600 AB shortstop that actually could play a little D. Though for the life of me I can't remember his name now.

1. Brinkman
2. Held
3. Hicks
4. McGlothin
5. Lyle
6. Watt
7. Wills
8. Richert
9. Harper
10. Veale

Guess I won't get Kaline who is further down on my list. Number 25 Ken Brett, still trying to figure out the 8W since I thought all 6 - 8 hitting pitchers were N power. :?

Re: Draft Lists?

Postby KEVINEHLE » Tue May 30, 2006 1:58 pm

[quote:25778cad51="Risden"]Anybody care to share their picks? I think that I screwed this up because I drafted mostly "bargains" (in the range of $1-$2 million) from conventional 1969 leagues. But I should have drafted a few more "heavyweights".

My top few picks on this draft card: Tony Horton, Jim Bouton, Willie Horton, Eddie Brinkman, Willie McCovey (just kidding on that last one)... :)

Good luck to all,
Bob[/quote:25778cad51]

[b:25778cad51]Bob, I think the good news is that you have a better chance of getting who you want in the draft. I went after the high paid guys sprinkled with a couple of "bargains" but I think I will only get a 2 or 3 of the guys I want for my starting team. This could be a peculiar, if not ugly, league! I like the challenge.

#1 was Willie Held and that great slugging from the right side.

Gonna platoon him with that awesome guy from the left side Ed Speizo.(assuming you guys do not beat me too it)

#2 was Cardenal .. I think and that great d and SB
#3 I think was Joe Hoerner and his 50 saves I predict.
#4 was Sam Bowens... and his great right hand side.
#5 - the Horton boys are in there somewhere.. not sure where.

Hope this does not scare you cause I could not tell you my starting pitchers.

Veale was on my list. Casey Cox, Lyle

Also, pick Metro Stadium to hopefully creat some home fireworks.

But.... remember... I am the Spudman... not the Doc so I plan to win it all

I think if I had gotten all 25 players my salary cap was only $46.5 mil. Wonder what it will end up being now? :P
