I'm planning on playing Ortiz myself.
There is NO WAY a 10th round pick is going to allow you to get comparable value for Giambi. If I were in your shoes, and I am, Giambi would be swinging lumber and throwing his glove at the ball for 7+ innings a game. From there, you can throw out some guy who actually owns a first baseman's mitt for the last couple of innings.

I would probably play Giambi as well if I hadn't drafted Berkman. Giambi is one of my favorite offensive players, but playing a 5 at first and a 4 in RF is just too much for me. For the type of team I want to build there are better value options at 1b and RF for me.

The approval is just an artifact of the site as far as I know--we didn't put anything in the rules about it that I remember.
I approved but I think one other person will need to as well
