Hard-Core Keeper League

Solution on non-carded players as follows:

1) Initially we will use a stadium pick to indicate a non-carded player. Then we post here to indicate which player it really was. That gives us 32 such picks, right?

2) If we run out of stadiums in the 40-round draft, I am hoping it will be at least a week from now & that Penn will have had time to update the site. If he doesn't get around to it, then I will post a list of scrubs that no one in their right mind would ever put on a roster. Once we have that list posted, maybe another 30 players, then we'll just use those players one after the other to indicate a non-carded player, and update the list here the same way.

3) If you need to leave a proxy for an uncarded player we do it the old fashioned way - email me or someone else your proxies so we can post them as soon as your pick comes up.

This way we get the benefit of Penn's site & proxies for 80-90% of our drafting. The only issue I have right now is that my office just put Penn's site on our banned list (hmm, wonder why?) so I'll need to sneak out at lunch & grab some free broadband to do mid-day updates, but TSN boards still ok.

Make sense? Any feedback/suggestions welcome.

Makes sense QK, and sounds good.

But this:[quote:09e9931a26]my office just put Penn's site on our banned list [/quote:09e9931a26]
had me laughing a little. I mean it sucks for you, but methinks you have visited there too often for your office's approval!

...and I have to take Pujols. I don't think I've had Pujols on more than 1 or 2 teams in my entire Strat life. Weird feeling to say the least....

Beach is up!

I'll pick ina few minutes. :D

For what it's worth, Hawk is Hawkeye in the NLD 13 league. Maybe he has two Penn IDs?

I had to redo the league under name Hardcore in order to change Hawk to Hawkeye, hope that was the right thing! Back to Beach being up.

BTW, 2 hr time limits since this is a vet group & a long draft....

Don't know how Pujols is going to work in your lefty-biased ballpark. You should have passed.

Lots of terrific players in these first two rounds. I decided to go young and bet on Miguel Cabrera's upside. If he is this good at 23, where's the upside limit? Primary risk is that you have to hope that he doesn't get wrecked by the Florida Marlins, the worst franchise in baseball!

Hawk is up. 8)

Florida worst franchise? No way, gotta give it to KC, doncha think? Florida's stadium situation sucks but I'd much rather be a Marlins fan in 2006 than a KC fan....

2 HOURS!!!

Everyone knows I LOVE fast drafts but this is an important one, no???

That seems just a tad quick for the early rounds. esp. I could spend that much time researching one pick. :P
