Mike, I understand that completely and have no probs with that. That is why it was a proposal. My only concern was that (besides yours) the other 4 that weighed in this morning had just joined a Keeper League with NO MINS and a Supp Draft up to 8 rounds. :?


I understand the math, I don't have a problem there. :wink:

And YES, my next proposal is to LOWER the current minimum requirement for releases prior to next year's FA Draft from 10 to 5, giving teams that sweated out some losing season in order to build a long lasting team a chance to keep their players. In real baseball, teams are forced to release their players so I want to try and mirror that even more.

Which is another idea that I support.

I don't want to be forced to drop players that I've accumulated over a number of drafts and are finally reaching their potential in order to meet a roster requirement that could possibly keep a bad team from becoming a powerhouse. I want the option to drop as little as 5 players if that's what I feel is in my best interest.
