ss Orlando Cabrera
lf Miguel Cabrera
cf Taveras
rf Dye
c Varitek
dh Giambi

I am playing at RFK. Do you have any advice?

You can probably get as much production...

out of Branyan(At least vs the right side) and Mientkiewicz vs the leftside for considerably less money and have nearly 2M to spend elsewhere. Taveras, who is great value - with his speed and defense, will hit about .220 at RFK.

You're also paying a lot of money for 81 games for a 4 range OF, whose BP HRs are only 3 chances in 20. M. Cabrera is high trade value to a hitters or RH park outside your division.(Same deal with Dye.) I would try to get Floyd, Jrod, or even a G. Anderson/Conine platoon for LF.

Giambi, Varitek, O Cabrera, and I suppose Figgins and Kent are fine. But if you're keeping Cabrera and figgins, I'd move Fig to LF and Cabrera to 3B. Much better range.

But IMO, you are way too RH heavy and don't have the LH power to win at RFK. The way to win there is LH Power and RH OBA alternated. And definitely have some good LHH who hit LHP. (McCann, Anderson, Mient. are all inexpensive and good reverses.) Hopefully, you have Ryan,Wagner or Fuentes to close for you. With Fuentes, you can get away with a cheapo closer like Rodney to help out closing out the leftside.

I have had good luck with cheap SP's like Vargas mixed with either Hampton or even Wells as your #3-6 SP's.

Hope that is helpful.

I meant Rodney on the rightside.

Figgins would probably be a better choice in CF than Taveras(Who is also high trade value. then you could keep Cab if you want, play him at 3B and get a LH Power hitter for LF. I actually like Kotsay for just under 3M to play both ways in CF...Unless you caqn get Griffey for Cabrera, of course.
