You would not have been able to take Willis or Dolphins Stadium because Cabrera of the Marlins was previously taken by another owner.

Why can't those people that picked a player and stadium (thereby locking up that team for themselves) go ahead and make their Round 2 picks now instead of waiting for their "turn"?

The person that took MCab did not take Dolphins stadium. I could have chosed a hitter from another team, like Abreu, and taken Willis as my 2nd round pick taking Dolphins.

That's not correct LM. The Marlins were locked out from other managers for the first TWO Rounds. Whether they picked their stadium or not in Round 1 had no bearing on the situation. Florida's players and stadium was still locked out from everybody else.

LM ALL Florida playerws are off limits to everyone except the person that chose Cabrera in round 1 until the beginning of round 3 so you couldnt choose Willis and Dolphins stadium with your round 2 pick as per the rules

No, you couldn't have done that, either. The rules that are posted at the start of this thread state that the teams and their ballparks are locked up for the first two rounds. Thus, no teams or ballpark used in Round 1 can be touched by anyone else in Round 2.

Once we get to Round 3, everyone is free game again.

I believe that means since Cabrera plays for the Marlins that therefore all Marlins players are unavailable in Round II - but will be re-available in Round III.

I think it also means Dolphins stadium is unavailable - but Jeep can clarify that.

Thanks Arryl for the above post on locked out teams. 8)

And as LM pointed out, anyone who is going to take their Round 2 player from their Round 1 team may pick ANYTIME. IOW, they don't have to wait until their turn. Obviously if you want another player from a different team, you have to wait your turn. 8)
