Assmeriten - Please Consider the following

The Saturday Draft isn't something that I feel you have to be available for.

1) At most you make 3 picks and that is done within 1 slot possibly. Many managers just do it over the weekend by coming in after the draft is done.

2) Can you look at the computer early in the morning prior to work

3) If you give me a Proxy listing players you covet that week I can draft or you can leave instructions on what positions you are most interested in then anyone can draft for you. Remember we can set it up where you draft all players at 1 time.

I usually log on at at 5:30 Am CST to see how my strat teams did the night before. If the cable modem is up of course.

I checked my PM, nothing new there.

Oks go ahead and put me in. Does Mass have a pick 3? If so I'll go with that state. If not someone just pick me a state that wasn't stupid enough to vote for the Warmonger.

I like option #1. Wish I lived in a state that didn't vote for a traitor

FINAL RULES FOR "PICK A FRANCHISE-1969 STYLE"

Postby rschwartz51 » Sat Jun 03, 2006 9:05 am

PICK A FRANCHISE

1 RD for DRAFTING of FRANCHISES -Determined by LOTTO ( HIGH to LOW) Based on Saturday Night LOTTO Results.

Followed by 1 RD Draft for Players from non-selected FRANCHISES. Order based on Salary Cap Low to High.

$200M CAP
DH
USE BALLPARK OF CHOSEN FRANCHISE

THEME - EACH WEEK ON SATURDAY MORNING Beginning at 11:00am EST A DRAFT IS HELD BASED ON THE FOLLOWING:

The 4 teams with the lowest records get 3 FA.
The next 4 teams with the next lowest records get 2 FA
The 4 teams with the best records get 1 FA

Ties are broken by ranking the teams by lowest run differential.

This process is continued each week until trades aren't allowed by the game. Trades are allowed.

THE STRATEGY IS WHETHER IT IS BEST TO PICK A FRANCHISE THAT IS GREAT OFF THE START VS THOSE TEAMS WHO GET THE FIRST FEW WEEKS AND CAN LOAD UP WITH FA.

If we follow the rules that were used in ATG, then you can pick up free agents from ANY team. All free agents are fair game.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The DRAFT will have a window of 1 HOUR for each of the first 2 managers to make their picks followed by Half-Hour Segments. Proxies may be used, and if a manager misses their pick they may jump in at any time after their time has expired.

The draft will begin the end of the first week.
