Okay Maybe I did reach, but like cummings said if it's a guy you REALLY want, and I REALLY wanted Reyes, Sandy I KNOW you think he'll never be a protypical leadoff hitter cause you think he won't get his OBP high enough, but I've seen improvment this year, and he's SO young. With at least one other Mets fan in this thing, I didn't think he'd last another 22 picks until my next pick.
I'll say this though, if we do another one of these I'd be all for an auction instead of a draft.

I have asked everyone to send me contact info, especially email & instant messaging. You are welcome to send me phone numbers as well. Some of you have replied, others, including Smokey, haven't. I'll be happy to follow up with any of you as much as possible.
I think we were pretty upfront about the nature of this draft - we need to be around & if we're going to be out & about, leave enough proxies. Smokey made a morning pick & then either his proxies ran out after just 5 picks went off the board, or he took off without leaving proxies.
In this case or any similar ones, I hope we are all prepared to take responsibility for our choices. I know I will have big trouble in this draft because my work has put Penn's URL & the TSN URL on our banned sites list. I will have to leave a lot of proxies starting Tuesday (Monday working from home) and therefore will be leaving proxy lists a mile long.

might be tough to pull off but a neat concept! I at least got one young pitcher alas he is struggling a bit. Hopefully he'll do better on the METS :D

Actually niners...I had Reyes on my proxies, I had him a bit lower but I wasn't surprised to see him go. You're right, if he hits his potential I think you drafted a top notch kid.
Power will develop, speed is there, glove is there, and I don't know of many other SS prospects, actually I [i:1995b82e7b]do[/i:1995b82e7b] know a few but I ain't tellin'...I'll draft ALL of 'em and corner the SS market muaaahahahaha :evil:

QK, I'll pm you e-mail info...my drafting is always proxy driven once past the first round so I know I'll be cool.
Only thing that concerns me is listing the scrubs to be used as "cards" for non-carded players. Could it be possible to each have say like 5 or 10 of such scrubs so we don't run out of them -proxy wise? And also, what if I proxy a scrub wanting to stand for someone else (player x), then say the next pick also lists a scrub and posts here that such scrub is my x, but does so before I get to say here that my choice was the same player, technically speaking it's my pick but...how can we monitor such cases?
