Where to bat Ted Williams?

Where to bat Ted Williams?

Postby Hack Wilson » Sat Jun 03, 2006 9:40 pm

Playing in the Baker Bowl with this hitters team..... http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=113436
(Yes, I'll downsize one hitter and picking up better relievers in the waiver frenzy.)

Should I bat Ted third, second or even leadoff? He's slow, a 10 runner, but the otherworldy OBP.....So far, my anticipated lineup:

1. E. Mathews
2. Trammell
3. T. Williams
4. J. DiMaggio
5. Al Simmons
6. Cepeda
7. Berra
8. Gordon

Suggestions?

I built the above team and led off Ted WIlliams every game of the year. It confirmed my belief that Ted Williams is the best leadoff hitter in the game despite his lack of speed and particulary with power teams. In the 3 hole all those walks are easily wasted.

Wow, those are some sick numbers, gk! DiMag, 228 RBIs, Teddy, 200 runs.

I like the lineup. Thanks for your input.

Yeah but I didn't when I posted. Otherwise I would have kept silent.

I'm not gonna be competitive in that league, one of the worst drafts I ever had. So I don't mind if you win it.

We anarchists need to stick together.
