Mohr?

I've got him, playing in Wrigley. 30 games in, he's hitting .236 with an OBP of .364, 3 HR and 12 RBI. Very underwhelming. But it is early...

I have him in SBC and am very pleased thru 72G...his splits, pretty true to expectation:

AVG OB SLG
vs L .213 .390 .312
vs R .315 .437 .444

cheers

I also have 4 tough lefties in the lineup though, to protect against extremely hard righties (Durazo, BGiles, Casey, Estrada), so he's not seeing DBush and Jeff Weaver every night (although that would be OK by me for the middle order guys :))

I have Mohr with a team starting tonight. I'm in Coors. I figured with his OBP, he will be on for the mashers, but w/ othe OBP guys in my lineup like Carroll, Freel, Mora and Pierre I'm considering replacing Mohr w/ a power platoon for the bottom of the lineup using some combination of Thames/Green or Werth/Piedra.

Lineup vs. LHP

1. Mora, Melvin (R) 3B
2. Casey, Sean (L) 1B
3. SF Leftfielder (L) LF
4. Gomez, Chris (R) DH
5. Rodriguez, Alex (R) SS
6. Pierre, Juan (L) CF
7. Freel, Ryan (R) RF
8. Mauer, Joe (L) C
9. Carroll, Jamey (R) 2B

Lineup vs. RHP

1. Mohr, Dustan (R) LF
2. Carroll, Jamey (R) 2B
3. Mora, Melvin (R) 3B
4. SF Leftfielder (L) DH
5. Rodriguez, Alex (R) SS
6. Casey, Sean (L) 1B
7. Pierre, Juan (L) CF
8. Mauer, Joe (L) C
9. Freel, Ryan (R) RF

Any thoughts?

Hizzy,

Seems like your Coors team is better suited for a pitchers' park. Starting 3 w guys both ways hurts you in Coors. 33% of pitchers' card BPHRs go to waste. Of course if you have pitchers' parks in your division it may work OK.

Also, I'd get a cheap platoon mate for Mauer. I'd hate to risk him getting injured playing vs LHP when you can get same or better production out of a sub-1MM guy.

my experience with him in a hitters division were equal in relation to his card in every regard, the problem with mohr is that u are paying for his defensive flexibility.
