I don't want ATGIII

Postby Treyomo » Mon Jun 05, 2006 12:35 am

Don't move on to the next product. After 2 years, I've finally figured this silly game out. I just recently had my first 100 win team (of course, crushed in the semis). I've won 5 titles in my last 22 teams. My current five teams are all in first, and 5 of my last seven completed teams finished first.

And now, for the first time ever, I went undefeated for a night. Yes, the karmic gods will strike me down, and yes, I only have 5 active teams...but damn, that feels good.

I want ATGIII!!

Postby Munich_Man » Mon Jun 05, 2006 4:28 am

After going 26-10, 24-12, 18-18, 24-12, 20-16, in the last four nights I have gone 16-20, 14-22, 14-22, and 15-21.

At least my teams have parity with themselves!

I have won 1 title in my last 20 teams despite making 15 playoffs and 6 finals and am now 14-18 in finals appearances for ATGII.

Bring on ATGIII and Nap Lajoie, Ryne Sandberg, the Waners, et al. :D

Congratulations, but you just made the strongest argument I have heard for moving on to a new game as soon as possible! :)

Hovering around 700-750 under .500 I could use a fresh start . :D

My 1st 15 teams put me 300 under . I am hoping this will not happen in ATGIII. :D

None in my last 18 teams, 1 in my last 25 - must be why we're in the same division in Vegas!

Gotta go with MM on this, Trey, bring on ATGIII!!! :D

Well, considering it's been 25 games since my last ring with just a few assorted quick playoff deaths since then, I for one am ready for ATG III. I just can't seem to stop myself from drafting Knepper. And instead of a season ending "Thanks for a great season! Buy another team...," I keep having the Weird Al Yankovich tune "I Lost On Jeopardy" go through my head!

"Now Simon let me tell you what you DIDN'T win. You didn't win the complete set of encyclopedia Britainnica. You didn't win a case of Jiffy Wax ooor a years supply of Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco treat! Not only that, but you brought shame and disgrace upon your family name for generations to come. You don't get to come back tomorrow. You don't even get a lousy copy of our home game. YOUR A COMPLETE LOSER!"

ATG III? Bring it on already! :P

A long reply voting for ATG-III's arrival at godspeed!!! As a "soph", I just started my 3rd ATG-II team... I am expectedly struggling to get to .500 with my first team (Forbes).... but team #2 (in early returns) has a 4-17 record thus far in balanced Fenway 46... seems like it's REALLY Forbes... (York .224, Fox .172, Doby .146, Selkirk .206) ... 6 one-run losses and 3 of my 4 wins have been by just one run. Larry Bowa is 3rd on my team in RBI's for goodness sake!! After just 21 games, I feel like my sole role is to be the whipping post for the experts like nevdully (one of two 15-6 teams in my division)... so I want that team's season to end quickly, and for ATG-3 to arrive even quicker... maybe I'll have less of a disadvantage with the new format/cards. (Chuckle, Chuckle).
