Looks like I'm the cheapest bastard around, so I go first, correct?

To confirm before I start the second round, I can pick one free agent, and then pick one <$1million guy to fill required holes in my team in order to enter? The Cubbies happen to need two scrubs to enter, do I just take one now and the other after everyone has a shot at them? Or both scrubs now? (need a reserve catcher and 5th starter).

OK, we know that Rube gets the #1 FA pick.

At the same time, does Rube also pick the Cubs (less than 1 mil) reserve catcher and reserve pitcher (which he needs to fill out a draft card)? If not, when does Rube select his reserves?

FINAL 2nd RD INSTRUCTIONS - DRAFT CAN BEGIN NOW

Postby rschwartz51 » Mon Jun 05, 2006 3:18 pm

I wanted to provide a list of Franchises not taken so we can limit the search for the 12 player draft and scrubs.

Yes, Rube takes 1 player from the List of Available Franchises. He then can take the 2 players to fill out his draft card and yes, he gets to make his picks in sequence.

Please remember if you have 25 players you still can make 2 picks of players $1 or less and cut 2 players but you have to maintain a legal draft card.

If you have less than 23 players you get as many picks as required to make a legal draft card. All players must be $1M or less.

I will offline from 4:45 pm ET until around 7:00 PM ET.

Why don't we just AUTODRAFT the <$1 mil guys and save time ?

If you have enough players on your team to autodraft a team then you shouldn't need any <$1 mil players....this is really only for the low $ franchises.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't think the autodraft idea is needed. By choosing the scrubs with your 1 player the lower salaried teams and at least provide for capable backups. Since we drafted based on these rules I don't want to change.
