While waiting for Bernie...

I was just curious as to who has the best Strat card ever? Not just in ATG I or II but all time from any year. Maybe the hottest looking bench player, pitcher, hitter. I haven't seen most of the cards but was just thinking what who had the best card and what did it look like.

I haven't seem them all, but hard to argue with Bonds '01 card. Probably lots of contenders. I think Ruth's '20 (or is it '21?) card is suppossed to be pretty awesome.

Fantastic "fluke" cards I remember:[list:e69384d599][*:e69384d599]J.D. Drew '98 (417/463/972, 5 HR in 36 AB)[*:e69384d599]Rudy Pemberton '96 (512/556/780, 8 doubles in 41 AB)[*:e69384d599]Craig Wilson '98 (468/490/766, and he played middle infield. This is not the current Craig Wilson BTW, nor is he the backup infielder for the Cards in the early '90s; this guy [i:e69384d599]was[/i:e69384d599] a backup IF, but for the White Sox. Very confusing.)[*:e69384d599]Mike Ryan '03 (391/441/754, 7 doubles & 5 HR in 61 AB)[*:e69384d599]Dave Valle '86 (340/417/679, 5 HR in 53 AB, and he could catch)[*:e69384d599]Matt LeCroy '01 (425/429/775, and he could catch, kind of [/list:u:e69384d599] I dunno if these guys really beat Bonds, Ruth, etc. Probably depends largely on their fielding, and I don't have the sets anymore. They very well might, though, at least those first three. Drew's HR rate is just bananas, and you really have to see what a card for a guy who hits .512 with a double every five at-bats looks like. It was pretty freakin' impressive.
