Hard-Core Keeper League

[b:f4827f10d7]There are plenty of "PROSPECTS" each year. Only a few really pan out. A LOT of the players that make it were ones that were way DOWN on "prospect lists", but overachieved or finally lived up to earlier expectations. It's a crap shoot really (which is part of the fun), so adding just two more chances gives you the hope that maybe two of them might REALLY pan out. THAT is the thinking. I think Dillution is VERY overstated as a concern here imo. For every one that DOES make it there are at LEAST 5 more that fail, so this proposal is ONLY trying to increase your odds of having a success is all. It's trying to HELP you not hurt imo. I really don't see as "wrecking anything" (imho).[/b:f4827f10d7]

[b:3741150383]Speaking of the Prospect Draft, I proposed to QK that it be longer than just 3 rounds (I LOVE Prospects and there shouldn't be dillution concerns as much -- for every ONE prospect that really makes it there seems like there are 5 that don't).

Qk liked it as well but told me to propose it to you guys.[/size:3741150383]

Sooooooo ....

PROPOSAL:

We EXPAND the Prospect Draft to 5 Rounds:

Ayes: 2
Nays: 2[/b:3741150383][/size:3741150383]

OK, Sandy. You made your point once. Now you have made it a second time.

Is this going to be another instance where it's all about you or are you going to let the league vote without your running commentary?

No, I didn't Beach -- you threw out the "wrecking it" comment and I thought I needed to respond to that properly. Geesh ...

I think that was uncalled for.

I vote no as well

And on a side note I have just noticed my proxies are misfiring.I had Marte #5,Ibanez #4,Koskie #3,a prospect #2(not saying which since he has since been taken and my #1 proxy is still sitting in my proxy list. What the hell is up with that?Anyone else having any problems like this as well??
Hopefully Beach doesnt take my #1 proxy and I can my him my next choice but I really pisses me off that I wasnt paying attention to this earlier yesterday because I really wanted that prospect in round 30 I believe it was.Dammit

There definitely seems to be some proxy issues Hawk, concerning the effective use of Group Proxies. We tried to run a test but Stoney raised a valid point that our test wasn't a valid one so I am not sure.

I feel your pain though.

when I set my proxies I only use the priority setting so that my list was as such
1. ??
2. prospect
3.Koskie
4.Ibanez
5.Marte
so my proxies should have fired in reverse order of what they actually did.I didnt keep close tabs on things because up until yesterday I didnt have any problems with my proxies. What strikes me as funny is that I had about a dozen proxies loaded and for some reason it went with my #5 proxy first and has gone down in order since:5,4,3, instead of proxy 1,2,3, oh well it was my fault for not monitoring it closer yesterday.

He hasn't picked yet pal, so don't worry (yet). So stop giving hints! ;)

Your occurance was weird. :?

Now, these prospects are "no cards"?

And the replacement player you had number 2 was taken but NOT the number one is what you are saying?
