I have a feeling that if I was in the West I would be 7 games under rather than 7 games over.

-20 run differential right now, 7 games over .500. Anyway, Glenn Davis is a stud in a HR park.

these guys are killer.18,18 and 20 games over.....being in 4th place in this division and still looking to go to the next round (even though at this point i consider us still a bubble team) we feel lucky to be where we are. the 3 teams ahead of me are like 3 pitbulls locked in the shed...
a little more luck with the pitching next time (?) and maybe things will turn out different.

Looks like I survived the curse of Don Mattingly. 82 wins thus far assures me a record in the top 9. I won't dwell on how many more wins my team would have had with Mattingly at 1b (.359 AVG, .654 SLG, .382 OBP)...

The Quiz is at 20-5, 30 saves, 1.84 ERA, 0.93 WHIP. He's blown 11 saves, I think on purpose, to help inflate his win total. Hopefully I'll hold off the Fighting Irish (4 games back, big series tonight) and actually make the playoffs!

The Sinister Footwear was coming back a bit, but the inter-division battles have been too much for them. They are fading out....forever

YountFan - not sure what you mean by "fading out ... forever". Your playoff chances are slim but you still have a 4 game lead in the 9th and final seed to advance. Plus you have 6 games left against my bumbling Cinderella Men so you're looking pretty good to advance to the next round.

I would say more than survive- your team is in contention for a title- Meanwhile lead by a pitching staff of guys having the seasons of their lives- Team Gomez is in a dogfight in the west- Maybe a few inspirational words from team captain- Dave Kingman can get the troops thru the war.

On another note- please take a look at the thread regarding when everyone wants the next round to start - after the regular season of this round or after the playoffs are completed - chip in your 2 cents

I don't have 2¢ to spare because the party is over for me and my Eggo Waffles.

The same can be said for my Weak Sisters, who certainly lived up to their name.

Sad excuse for a team.

Not a good sight when Dave Rozema is your ace. But some bright spots were Balboni at .273 .615 .333; Pags with 26 bombs, good leadoff platoon with Zisk and Grubb, who I've never used before.

Still learning this confounding game!

Ditto for my Bat Daddies, unless................................... We sweep Footwear tonight and win the last 6. Even then there is not guarantee.

I was not aware of that. Top 9 advance. I had forgotten. Time to crack the whip.
