Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!

Just how many times am I going to have to be beaten with the "Mike Scott doesn't work in hitter's park" stupid stick before I learn?? And will someone please tell Mr. Gedman and Mr. Gamble to start hitting up to their cards?

I am feeling confident that I am about to turn the corner and get out of the bottom 3. Wish my players felt the same.

Looks like I may have struck gold with Tibbs and Gross, been on a bit of a run of late.

Hammers Hanging in...

Postby Jack377 » Tue Jun 06, 2006 7:44 pm

Started 4-17, 66-63 since...just trying to scrape into that top 9...

Ron Hassey is the only offensive player I've got who really excelled. Mattingly inched up over .300 as the year went on and Kruk has performed as expected...everyone else has really been mediocre. I won't have one player with 100 RBI...

Great pitching, though. Saved our a$$es...

Good luck in the final 12, all...

No comment yet from me. Trying not to get too excited about my comeback.

My team did the dreaded fold. Played .667 ball for about 80 games after a 2-11 start, .500 ball for around 30, and then I win 2 of the last seven series. Oh well, good enough to advance to the next round. Blyleven and Fred Lynn are probably the only disappointments for me. Burt be home by eleven was very inconsistent, eventhough he won 17 games. And injury reveal shows Fred Lynn was vastly underproducing for me.

I'm hoping we keep original seeds to do the next round, but I'm happy with whatever we decide upon.

Yeah most of you advancing on to the next round can thank my monumental colapse. I was 40-41 at the midway point and since that time I have played less than .333. And the odd thing in it all is that my run differential is significantly better than a number of the teams that will be advancing.

It has turned out to be my worst 80's season ever, and there really wasn't much I could do once the wheels came off. Every pitcher I touched just sucked (and in most cases worse than any of their 5 seasons should produce) It also hurts when your $5 mil+ Catcher and SS have bad years, because there is no one in the FA pool that you can even try as a replacement.

Oh well, on the plus side I finally won my first championship the other night. Goodluck to those moving on.
