Guys, out of all my np leagues, I think this is the only one Im gonna stick with. Ill be dropping out of my other leagues mostly because its so hard to coordinate with some of those owners. I think whatever we do, we need to MANDATE IM use. I find that the owners in this league are MUCH easier to coordinate with because I often see them on IM. As for QP, Im against it unless both owners agree. As for the years, I dont have a big preference, although I have yet to play any leagues from the 50s. I would really like to see a repeat of the DH and no-DH divisions. I thought that was a great twist.

Hey Guys, Im have been interested in joining a retro league for a while. I'm in two currnent Summer Net Play Leagues and two winter leagues, but no retro leagues. If you have a spot open for a new manager please consider me. As for a new league year I would be interested in 1978. I actually have that year's files already. That was my first year of playing strato. Anyway, any year would be good just to get in. I do have an IM through AOL (tgmfp), tgmfp@aol.com

I'd like to do a keeper league, with the expanded HOF set (Japanese players, etc.). It would be different from the other netplay leagues...might make recruiting a little easier. I'd prefer starting in '85, but the longer 1950s periods could be interesting too.

The only wrinkle I could foresee is that, to be able to draft wisely in a keeper league, one probably should buy game authorizations for the first couple of seasons, if not the entire period. (Or we could figure out who has what years and share info.) I don't have a problem with buying ahead, but others might.

It sounds like people are against Quick play so we'll need to look at other ideas to help us get through the season more quickly. Of course we can just stick with our current format and pick a new season to play each time.

tgmfp, Hi, and thanks for posting we will have a couple of slots open at the end of our current season and would welcome you to our league. A couple of thingss that won't likely be changing are...

- We all use Yahoo IM, it's easy to download and use.
- We have been shooting for three series a week so about a 3-4 hour time commitment per week to play head to head.
- It sounds like you are a Netplay veteran so this won't be news, but you can set your Computer Manager or CM so if you can't play your games your opponent or the Commish can get them played for you.
- We have a league Constittution which outlines most rules.
- I'll email you with more details

We need to consider moving to version 11. There are at least three people in our league who are going to be using 11 in another league and it is likely any new recruits will have 11 as well.
