You go away for a few weeks and life proceeds according to HAL's great master plan.

or sometimes, you stay around and your team goes away anyway....

My team went down easier than a French Prize fighter, as the commercial goes....

Great Race

In the Central, the Jablowmis (90 wins) go against Ballywackman (90) tonight for the division crown. In the West, Seanreflex (92) leads Moodywoody (91). Panzer (90) rests in the East and waits for the playoffs to begin.

Great season bracket 3.

...and in the all-important race for inclusion in the next round, Grumps can tie Blues if Grumps sweeps Devil Dogs and Blues gets swept by Fastbreak tonight. I believe their head-to-head record would then determine which of them advances and which becomes the third team culled from our league...they only had three series against each other this season, and Grumps got the better of Blues by the tally of 5-4. Without those sweeps, the advancing crowd has been determined in Bracket 3. Great season!

I'm glad my boys finally showed up this season.

Even on my worse performing 80s teams, I've had better "power" in the big park.

My team went south for good when I drew the worse Kirby Puckett card and the engima season of Eddie Murray's cards.

Hell, I found the better Griffey card but he couldn't hit anything but singles. Of course, Tony Gwynn's DP loaded season card took care of that problem for me.

Otherwise, I had fun watching Tony Armas whiff more times than he hit the ball on a team that hardly whiffed at all.

Besides, you had to love how HAL made Tony Pena's -3 arm into Chris Bando like -

Good luck to the playoff teams and remember

The sun will always shine on another dog's ass some day.
